AITpath

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026.

AITpath (“AITpath,” “we,” “us”) is a training and journey-management tool for nursing home Administrators-in-Training (AITs), their preceptors, and their facility administrators. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and — because that is the question people actually ask — exactly who inside the app can see what.

AITpath is a wholly owned subsidiary of Advantage Business Systems, Inc., a Connecticut corporation, which operates AITpath from 1079 Whalley Ave., Suite #4, New Haven, CT 06515.

Information we collect

We collect the information you would expect from what the app does:

We do not currently collect payment information — nothing in AITpath is billed as of this writing — and we do not use advertising trackers.

A note on resident and patient information

AITpath is not designed to collect, and is not a place to enter, information that identifies a specific nursing home resident or patient — names, room numbers, or any other detail that could identify them. The journal specifically warns against this every time you write an entry. AITpath does not intend to receive protected health information through this product, and the product is built to discourage it. This is a design commitment, not a claim of any particular regulatory status — if AITpath is ever used by a facility in a way that would require a formal agreement covering resident health information, that requires its own separate written agreement between the facility and us, entered into before that use begins. Nothing in this policy substitutes for one.

Who can see your information

AITpath is built so that what a preceptor can see is deliberately narrower than what an AIT records — not a promise layered over the code, but the actual access rules the database enforces:

Service providers

We use a small number of vendors to run AITpath, each processing information only to provide their part of the service: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) and Vercel (hosting). If you sign in with Google, Google provides your name, email address, and profile photo to us for that purpose under its own privacy policy. As AITpath adds features — such as sending text messages for account recovery — this section will be updated to name the providers actually in use before that feature goes live, not after.

How long we keep your information

We retain your information for as long as your account exists. Your hours, rotation history, and other records are yours — if you would like a copy of your data or want your account closed, contact us at the address below and we will handle it directly while a self-serve export and account-closure process is built.

Your choices

You can review and correct your own account information from within the app at any time. You choose, entry by entry, whether a journal entry is shared with your preceptor. To request a copy of your information, ask a correction, or close your account, contact us at the address below.

Children's privacy

AITpath is intended for adults working toward a professional license and is not directed to, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, and access within the app is enforced at the database level by row-level security — the same rules described above are not a UI convenience but the actual permissions on the underlying data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced within the app.
